Using Outlook And Outlook.Com Simultaneously

You would probably be familiar with the Outlook application. If not, it’s an email client included in Microsoft Office Suite. This useful application lets you send and receive email messages, helps us to organize our emails, manage contacts, calendars, tasks, schedules, notes and what not. If you have an account on Outlook.com, you could easily view your email messages and manage your contacts, without having to run the desktop client on your PC.

Microsoft Outlook is an email service, and can be used with Microsoft Office 365, Outlook.com or even Gmail. That said, you would probably prefer using your Outlook client application when you are in front of your computer. But sometimes you may encounter internet connectivity issues that get in the way of doing this smoothly.

You could use Outlook.com to solve this problem – it permits you to open email messages you have received, even when you are not connected to the internet. It permits you to access multiple accounts as well. Other than letting you handle emails, you could the view calendar, contacts and everything else from Outlook email. Outlook.com can be used to work along with other Microsoft Office apps too, and you could even try sending emails to your OneNote notebook.

The immense usefulness of Outlook.com does not render the desktop client obsolete however. There are many people who use both. The client is the only option when you need to store the messages on the PC, and besides the Microsoft Outlook price isn’t all that high. When you have connectivity problems, that’s when you turn to the website.

Let us check the different steps involved for adding the Outlook.com account to Outlook 2013.
  • You can select File and then choose Add Account.
  • After account is added, to view the calendar in Outlook.com, you can select Calendar, and select the box that you find next to Outlook.com email address.
  • You can choose more than one box and view multiple calendars. It is even possible to view two calendars by combining them into a single view. For that you could select the boxes next to both calendars, and select the View in Overlay Mode arrow, next to the second calendar’s name.
  • You can view the contacts by selecting People and select the checkbox that you find next to Outlook.com email address.
Hope you will follow the above steps and you need not bother about Microsoft Outlook price to combine Outlook and Outlook.com.

Microsoft Combines Skype With Outlook

Finally, Microsoft has planned to merge two of its most popular services together – Skype and Outlook. According to sources, Skype will now be available to all the Outlook users in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Canada and Brazil. This would definitely be pleasing news for all Outlook users.

Outlook is indeed one of the most widely preferred email services around the world due to the various advanced and user-friendly features it comprises of. Similarly, Skype is also one of the most widely used messenger services that have a large user base. So as far as Microsoft is concerned, collaboration of these two services will definitely add to the growth of business. Outlook already comprises of options where users can connect to their Facebook and Gmail accounts. This syncing feature as a part of the Microsoft Outlook tools is considered to be helpful in getting useful information about the contacts, as well as contacting them via the messenger. Last November, the software giant had announced about ending its messaging service. This was a clear hint of a plan to combine both Skype and Outlook, especially considering the phenomenal success of the former. Although there wasn’t any news about an official date as to when the service would come together, it can be said that the users were waiting for this since then.

As stated by Dawn Martynuik, group product manager of Outlook in a blog post, "E-mail is an important and personal tool for most people, but there are moments when you want to be able to speak live or chat face-to-face. In a recent Ipsos Public Affairs poll 76 percent of people say that their e-mail conversations frequently or occasionally result in a follow-up phone or video call, or other means of communication. Those moments are perfect for Skype and now, face-to-face connection right from your inbox is just a click away." So it’s quite clear that by including Skype as a part of the Microsoft Outlook tools, Microsoft is focusing on increasing its customer base. Adding to it, sources also reveal that, several interesting inclusions can be expected to arrive in the near future as part of Outlook.

Google also provides such options to its users where they can make voice calls and message people through their Google accounts. Hence, Microsoft seems to have finally come up with a strategy to provide stiff competition to its strongest counterpart.

How does Babylon toolbar get installed?

Most users who have Babylon toolbar in their web browser proclaim that they did not install it. The toolbar gets installed by itself. If you have not installed Babylon toolbar in your web browser and think that it causes undesired consequences to your web browser, you can remove it right away. According to the instructions given in the Babylon website, the best way to remove Babylon toolbar is to uninstall it from the Control Panel settings. Below given are the instructions for the same.

Instructions
  • Navigate to the Start button and select Control Panel from the drop-down menu.
  • Locate the Programs and Features icon in the Control Panel screen and press the link that says Uninstall a program. The link can be found beneath the Programs and Features icon. If you are using Windows XP operating system, locate and double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel screen.
