How To Fix Errors With Windows Updates

A simple installation of an operating system on your computer will not ensure the smooth functioning of your computer. Microsoft releases updates for its operating systems so that it supports most of the applications, programs and becomes free from vulnerabilities.

Windows updates are important for the smooth functioning of your Windows operating system. However, sometimes, your operating system can encounter a few troubles after installing an update. So, how can you fix this trouble? According to Windows tech support, you can fix this trouble by removing the problematic updates from your computer. Steps Involved
  • Open the Control Panel window from the Start menu.
  • Choose the option Add or remove programs if you are using a Windows XP computer.
  • The above step opens the window for Add or Remove Programs that contains the list of installed programs and applications in your computer. If you are using a Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer, select the option Uninstall found under Programs.
  • On top of the Add or Remove Programs window, you can find the option Show updates. Put a check mark for this option. If you are using a Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer, select the option View Installed Updates from the left pane of the Window. This step will add the list of Windows updates installed on your computer along with other programs. 
  • Locate the windows updates installed on the particular date after which your computer experienced troubles. 
  • Select the update and click the option Remove. Windows 7 and Windows Vista users may click the option Uninstall after choosing the update. 
  • Once you remove an update, restart your computer. If this did not help, choose the next update and click the option Remove. 
  • Repeat the above step until you find and remove the corrupted or problematic update. 
  • Keep in mind that some of the updates cannot be removed since they are critical updates necessary for your computer. Therefore, locate and remove other updates, as these critical updates may not be the culprits.
